App design starts with a notion of an idea. That idea builds into plans and concepts. From there it’s not far before the programmers get into the act and begin to really bring life to the application. The final phase would be the load testing. The difference between a successful launch and a total flop can all come down to the mobile application testing. Get that right and success can be yours for the taking. There was a time not too long ago when mobile application testing only meant a trying out the load testing on a few models. Today there are dozens of different operating platforms using a variety of user interfaces. Not only could this include standard finger keyboard typing but also voice command activation. Then there are all the variations of application triggers like swiping or scrolling and panning and the new pinch/stretch to zoom method. Of course, there is also the very popular “shake” method. All of these various models and triggers need to go through the mobile application testing process in order to reach the widest customer base. If you are entering into the load testing phase of a mobile application you need to be aware of several factors that can play an important role in this stage of development. First is the issue time. Often a launch date will be set and the project will work backwards. However, as the launch date approaches developers want to speed up the load testing process when in reality this is the one area that shouldn’t be rushed. Speeding past the load testing can have minor glitches overlooked. On some level the mobile application testing business is still growing. As such, it could mean that your new application might be more advanced than some standard testing. This is why you need to develop a strong relationship with your testers so you can develop the most effective test plan strategy. Another factor to consider is the mobile application testing process is the level of data entry as it relates to the memory capacity of each phone. It seems that every new generation of cell phone is getting smaller and more expansive. Will you be able to understand and properly analyze your test results? This is important especially for the first time developers. You will also have to stay ahead of the technology curve in terms of the ever evolving operating systems. What works for Android might not work for Blackberry which won’t work in the iPhone. That has to be taken into account especially when you are budgeting all your load testing parameters. Mobile application testing is no time to cut corners. You might be tempted to shave off some budget numbers when putting together a business plan but it would be a lot smarter to plan for additional testing contingencies in order to make sure all your bases are covered. Since storage devices use the IDE interface format, one simply needs to connect the external hard drive to the computer using a USB device, and in no time, you can start storing information on the drive much like your internal hard drives. Another example is the use of a docking station that consists of different types of port such as serial and USB ports and so on and so forth which one can use then to connect more devices but not having to unplug the others devices connected to the USB and serial ports already being used. Another interesting device is the USB serial cable that provides one with more serial ports than just the two that almost every computer provides. Obviously this gives one more computing options for devices that require serial ports. With all these devices at one’s disposal, the options that are made available to a user are numerous, while also keeping the expenditure at a minimum. Not only do these options make one’s life easier but they do not hurt the pocket as well.

Take for example the USB serial adapter, which is based on the principle that not many serial ports are available on your computer as much as USB ports, and very simply this device converts a USB port into a serial port so that you can connect devices that require the latter. The USB IDE adapter is just right for those who require more hard disk space than what they have installed internally on their computer which uses IDE technology to accomplish the task of storage. So in this case, external hard disks do come in handy. All this device does is prepare the USB port for IDE transfer, and one can use an external hard disk to store more files. Now along the same lines, the USB IDE converter is a cable that connects to a USB port at one end, and an IDE external storage device at the other end, and once the connections have been made, you have extra storage at your disposal. So, as you can see, these USB devices can be really handy when it comes to storage and getting serial ports as well.
